If you prefer the version with banana, it's no surprise! We've been trained by the food industry to expect things to taste very sweet. Just gradually reduce the amount of sweetener you add to help to wean yourself off sugar. Before you know it, they will taste perfectly sweet enough without anything added. Then you will know you are on track to overcoming your sugar addiction and cravings will be a thing of the past!
Provides protein, fibre, and omega 3 fatty acids. Flax helps block the impact of xeno-oestrogens, may help lower the risk of some cancers, helps maintain a healthy weight by stabilising blood sugar, and may reduce cholesterol and blood pressure.
Coconut flour is very high in fibre which promotes a healthy microbiome and overall digestive health whilst also helping to stabilise blood sugar. Gluten-free, high in iron, coconut flour has a low Glycaemic Index making it perfect for low carb baking.
Almonds are low in carbs but high in healthy fats, protein, anti-oxidants and fibre. Almonds are particularly high in magnesium which supports blood sugar management, helps to lower LDL cholesterol and protects against oxidation of cholesterol (a major cause of inflammation).
Apples are a rich source of polyphenols (important anti-oxidants) and contain non-soluble fibre, pectin, which is an outstanding prebiotic, promoting gut health by feeding the beneficial bacteria in your digestive tract. Apples have loads of vitamin C which works with the pectin to boost iron absorption in the gut.
“ These muffins are really yummy. I have one pretty much every day for breakfast! That way I knowI’m getting all I need for a really healthy start .”
“At first I thought they weren't sweet enough, but the brilliant thing is, I am in control and Magic Muffins have helped me overcome my sugar addiction!"
“They're great! It certainly helps to have that quick fix, ready in the cupboard, instead of just reaching for a biscuit, or getting out separate ingredients.”
You know how sometimes it's really difficult to make a healthy choice? Me too! And so do the hundreds of people I have worked with in my Functional Medicine practice.
What we need is the perfect food to fill the gap. Something to help us breeze through those tricky pinch points when all we want is something squodgy, satisfying and delicous! Without having to think too hard, or sabotage our goals.
Five years of development and multiple taste tests later... the Magic Muffin Mix is finally here! The secret lies in the special combination of flax, coconut and almond to give the right squodge and texture without losing out on taste.

Yes! Many people enjoy adding fresh fruit (eg a mashed banana, or a handful of blueberries) to the finished mix before putting in the muffin cases. You can also add chopped nuts, seeds or other flavouring such as vanilla if you wish. The possibilities are endless! Check out wwwmagicmuffinmix.com/inspo for more ideas!
But don't forget that adding ingredients will change the nutritional make up of your final product - a medium banana, for example, will increase the total carb count per muffin to 11g (the same as adding two tablespoons of sugar!), and 100g blueberries would increase total carbs to to 10g per muffin.
Magic Muffin Mix is an unsweetened product which may take a bit of getting used to for some people. If you have a sweet tooth, you can add a sweetener of your choice. If you want to stay low-carb, suggstions would be half a teaspoon of stevia or two tablespoons of Erythritol Powder. If you would prefer to use higher carb alternatives, 1 medium banana,or either two tablespoons of maple syrup, honey or coconut sugar would also work but would nearly triple the total carbs to 11g per muffin.
All the wholefood ingredients in your Magic Muffin Mix are Certified Organic and are sourced from independent businesses here in the UK where possible. The ACV powder comes from a certified organic source in India that specialises in phyto-nutrients, because I have not yet been able to find an organic supplier here in the UK. Bicarbonate of Soda is an unadulterated mineral that is free from all additives. There are no added sugars, fillers, grains, or ultra-processed products in Magic Muffin Mix.
Unfortunately as this is a food product, it is not possible to accept returns or offer refunds. Please note that Magic Muffin Mix is an unsweetened product, which may take a bit of getting used to for some people.
